Any water that is left to dry may form visible ringlets, which should be wiped off with water until the mineral deposit is removed, as soon as possible.

***You may opt OUT of the fee for your annual inspection and just have the warranty top coat applied however, the top coat will be applied to the vehicle as is (no decontamination or inspection of the coating will be performed). The fee we charge is to cover the detailing portion of your visit. By detailing the vehicle first, we are able to fully inspect the coating to ensure that there is no premature degredation and remove any non-permanent surface damage your coating may have received during the year. We will also be able to properly level and repair any degredation we see with the detail. If you choose to move forward with JUST the top layer without the initial detail by KQD, KQD will not be responsible for the condition of the coating and any contaminates that may accumilate under the top layer of the coating and/or any damage that occurs while applying the top coat to a vehicle that has not been decontaminated by KQD first.

Limit of Liability (Claims)

1. Damage that may be covered under this warranty must be made aware to KQD within 30 days, failure to comply will result in the warranty being terminated.

2. Claim determination is at the sole discretion of Killer Queen Detailing, either approving the repair/re-treatment or refunding the application cost to the vehicle owner at a maximum of $500 and terminating the warranty, whichever is less.
3. Email and text reminders for annual inspections are a courtesy and not receiving one is not an acceptable reason for missing your inspection.

After Coating Care

Full curing time is 24-48 hours, depending on environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature. Take special care during this time period. The coating will help prevent your clear coat from getting water spots as it is hydrophobic, however, it can still get hard water spots at any time. Be especially diligent during the curing process to prevent water spots, which may be costly to remove.

During the curing process avoid:

• Parking under trees especially if there are shedding. You don’t want tree sap on a fresh coating. • Allowing bird droppings, sap or pollen to sit on the car and bake in the sun.
• Washing or abrading the paint.

If you notice that your car gets water spots, bird droppings, bugs, tree sap, or other contaminants during the first few days, immediately remove it following our care instructions. Keep in mind the coating is still curing. Be gentle when working on the paint.

Washing & Drying Your Vehicle

Washing

• Wash on a bi-weekly basis to avoid excessive contamination build up.
• Avoid washing in direct sunlight to minimize streaking and water spotting.
• Wash from the top down leaving the dirtiest sections for last to avoid cross contamination.
• Use one bucket for rinsing your sponge/mitt and one for soapy water. Use separate soap and sponge/mitt for wheels.
• DO NOT use automated car washes
• Do not wax your vehicle after washing it

Drying

• Always dry completely and never leave to air-dry.
• Tap water contains minerals that may leave deposits creating water spots. • Use quality microfiber towels for best results and avoid aggressive wiping

Water Spots & Droppings

• Never use aggressive products to polish the coating or remove surface contamination.
• Never use excessive force to remove water spots.
• Bird droppings, tar, sap, etc. should be removed as soon as possible to avoid temporary staining or hardening on the coating. Any staining left behind from the bird droppings will break down over a few days without affecting the coating.

Annual Inspection

Annual inspections are required by Killer Queen Detailing to ensure the coating is maintained and care for the vehicle is properly executed. Although durable and long-lasting, annual inspections ensure maximum gloss and protection. *Please note failure to do annual inspections will void your warranty.

*KQD has pre-paid monthly & quarterly packages that include your annual inspection.

NOTICE:

  • Ceramic Coatings are NOT water/weather proof. They are water wicking/hydrophobic. This means that water will easily bead or fall off of it vs. sticking to the surface of the vehicle. This doesn't guarantee ALL the water will wick on the entire surface such as in areas where water can pool and gather.

  • The intention of ceramic coating is to prolong the life of your paint, allow your vehicles surface to be more water resistant, give your vehicle the glossy "wet" look and to make maintenance on the exterior easier.

  • Ceramic Coatings are NOT water spot proof. If you allow water to collect and sit on any surface, there is a high chance water spots will form. In the event they do form, it is important to wash your vehicle and dry it properly per the care instructions above

  • Ceramic Coatings are not "rock chip" proof. Although the coating does provide some protection, if an object hits your vehicle hard enough, it will chip. Ceramic Coatings do not work in the same manner paint protection film (PPF) works.

Water Spot Disclaimer:

Hydrophobic properties aid, primarily when a vehicle is in motion- but can have functionality while stationary as well. Essentially, this ability of hydrophobics assist gravity to easily move water/contamination off of surfaces as fast as possible eliminating contamination/mineral build up. However, even the best coating and/or protection you add to your vehicle cannot combat mineral deposits, acid rain, sprinkler contamination, etc. If water sits on a vehicle long enough, the water will dry on its surface and water spots will form. It is CRITICAL to NEVER allow standing water to sit and dry on vehicle surfaces.

By booking an appointment and having services rendered, you agree to have received and understand the care instructions and terms and conditions. KQD will not be held liable for assumptions made.
